Judd Payne
Before joining Wind Dancer as head of production, Payne was an independent producer and partner with Matthew Rhodes in Persistent Entertainment. Payne produced the romantic comedy NAILED, directed by David O. Russell, starring Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal, which is currently in post production. He also produced the broad comedy DEEP IN THE VALLEY (Scott Caan, Tracy Morgan) scheduled for release in 2009.
Payne has produced or executive produced a number of films including: PASSENGERS (Anne Hathaway, Patrick Wilson); SOUTHLAND TALES (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Justin Timberlake); REMEMBER THE DAZE, (Amber Heard, Chris Marquette); WALKER PAYNE (Jason Patric, Sam Shepard); THE SISTERS (Maria Bello, Elizabeth Banks, Chris O'Donnell); and the Sundance hits SEPTEMBER TAPES and FRESHMAN ORIENTATION (a.k.a. HOME OF PHOBIA).
Before becoming a producer, Payne worked at The Steve Tisch Company where he was vice president in charge of development. Payne worked on the company's films THE POSTMAN, AMERICAN HISTORY X and the British hits SNATCH and LOCK, STOCK & TWO SMOKING BARRELS.
He started his entertainment career as an agent trainee at the William Morris Agency, working for such clients as Sean Penn and Kevin Spacey. Payne received a double major in marketing and international business from the University of Colorado's business school in Boulder, Colorado, and he grew up in the arguably infamous Paris, Texas.
